Gutentag! We are Ottersloth Inc., the research company that has been hired to conduct an experiment to determine which local car company would benefit from advertising at a McDonalds located in Middletown, Ohio. Then, we would make a pitch to that company and try to win them over. We hypothesize that the car will be seen the least is Kia. If our hypothesis is correct, then we believe Kia would benefit the most from our advertising at McDonalds because most of the people coming through the drive-thru don't have that type of car, and would be more likely to buy one.
On Saturday, September 20th, we will be performing our experiment, which consists of counting the 150 cars that pass by in the drive-thru during 3 P.M. - 5 P.M. The brand of car will be recorded so we will know who to pitch our idea to.

According to the data we have collected, the majority of cars going through the drive-thru was Ford. The type of car that we saw the least amount of, was Pontiac. This did not support our hypothesis. We had hypothesized that Kia would be the brand that we would see the least of, when there were seen 3 times as much as Pontiac.
We suggest to McDonalds that they should pitch their advertisement idea to Pontiac. This is because not many people in that went through the drive-thru were driving this brand of car, and based on these facts, we have determined that this company would benefit the most from advertising at this establishment. If the experiment was to be conducted again, the results could be different depending on the the day of the week, the time of day, and whether it is the week or the weekend. Another variable that could have affected our outcome were the soccer tournament that was going on down the street, which brought more customers than usual.
